Purpose of the Global Status Bar

The Global Status Bar helps users:

  • Monitor System Health: Track key metrics such as device connections, memory usage, and warnings or errors to ensure smooth operation during high-speed imaging workflows.
  • Track Pipeline Activity: View the number of active pipelines and their states, enabling efficient oversight of data acquisition processes.
  • Quickly Detect Issues: Highlight warnings and errors in real time, allowing users to address problems immediately and maintain optimal performance.
  • Enhance Workflow Efficiency: Provide continuous feedback across all views, eliminating the need to switch views for system updates and improving overall productivity.

User Interface of the Global Status Bar

The Global Status Bar contains several key indicators:

  • Pipeline Count: Displays the number of active pipelines, helping users monitor ongoing data acquisition processes.
  • Device Connection Status: Indicates the number of connected devices, including cameras and storage, ensuring all essential hardware is properly configured.
  • System Warnings and Errors: Shows counts for warnings (yellow) and errors (red). Clicking these icons allows users to review details in the relevant log or diagnostics panel.
  • Memory Usage Indicator: Tracks system memory usage with visual cues for thresholds (e.g., green, yellow, red) to highlight potential performance bottlenecks.
  • Camera Status: Indicates the number of cameras currently streaming or idle, helping users quickly verify operational status.
