Dual ADC Exposure Compression

The Dual ADC Exposure Compression feature determines whether dynamic range compression is applied to high-intensity pixels during the Dual ADC process. When enabled, the feature adjusts these pixels to reduce saturation and enhance contrast, preventing overexposure while maintaining a linear response for lower-intensity pixels.

Note: The feature applies only when Dual ADC is enabled and works in conjunction with Dual ADC Exposure Threshold, Dual ADC Exposure Compression Knee Points, and Dual ADC Exposure Compression Gains.

DualADC_CMPENEXP node

  • Access mode: Read/Write
  • Node type: Boolean
  • Values:
    • True (T): Enables compression mode. High-intensity pixels undergo controlled compression to enhance dynamic range and prevent overexposure.
    • False (F): Disables compression mode. The camera uses a default linear merging approach for the Dual ADC process.

You can use the eSDK API functions to get and set the node’s current value.
