Dual ADC Exposure Compression Gains

The Dual ADC Exposure Compression Gains feature specifies the compression levels applied at the two knee points during the Dual ADC process. These gains control how high-intensity pixel values are adjusted, enabling the camera to optimize image quality by maintaining detail in both shadows and highlights.

Note: The feature applies only when Dual ADC Exposure Compression is enabled and works in conjunction with the Dual ADC Exposure Compression Knee Points feature.

DualADC_ACMP1EXP and DualADC_ACMP2EXP nodes

  • Access mode: Read/Write
  • Node type: UInt32
  • Values: 0–15
    • DualADC_ACMP1EXP: Specifies the compression gain applied at the first knee point, providing control over the initial compression adjustment.
    • DualADC_ACMP2EXP: Specifies the compression gain applied at the second knee point, further fine-tuning compression for higher-intensity pixel values.

You can use the eSDK API functions to:

  • get and set the node’s current value, and
  • get the node’s minimum and maximum values, and the node’s value increments.
