Zoom

The Zoom feature controls the zoom mechanism for a compatible lens or lens mount.

Use this feature to adjust image framing without changing the camera position. The Zoom feature is similar to the Focus feature, but controls zoom instead of focus.

When the zoom value changes, the lens focal length changes. After changing zoom, run FocusInit again to reinitialize focus.

Note: If the camera has a Birger EF lens mount, the zoom features work differently. For more information, contact Technical Support.

Zoom node

• Access mode: Read/Write
• Node type: Uint32
• Minimum value: 0
• Maximum value: 65535
• Increment: 1

You can use the eSDK API functions to:

• get and set the node’s current value
• get the node’s minimum and maximum values
• get the node’s value increment
