Short Exposure Mode is an acquisition control feature in Emergent Vision cameras that activates a special sensor-level exposure mechanism for ultra-low exposure durations.
When enabled:
S_SHSB register. This mode is designed for precise, low-latency exposure control in high-speed imaging applications, such as:
The shortest supported exposure is approximately 1.01 µs, and the longest supported in this mode is 2.46 µs. To use exposure times longer than 2.46 µs, you must disable Short Exposure Mode.
Note: When enabled, this mode also overrides Auto Exposure Maximum Exposure, regardless of trigger mode or frame rate.
Exposure timing table
Each S_SHSB value from 1 to 28 corresponds to a fixed short exposure time. The camera applies the required timing automatically when Short Exposure Mode is enabled.
You can use the eSDK API functions to get and set the node’s current value.
