The High Conversion Gain (HCG) feature increases sensor analog gain to reduce read noise and improve signal-to-noise ratio, especially in low-light or short-exposure conditions.
When HCG is enabled, the sensor uses high-gain mode for better low-light performance at the cost of reduced dynamic range. When HCG is disabled, the sensor operates in normal mode with lower gain and higher dynamic range.
Enable HCG when minimizing noise is more important than preserving full dynamic range.
You can use the eSDK API functions to get and set the node’s current value.
