Trigger Source

When trigger mode is enabled, the trigger source feature specifies the origin of the trigger signal that initiates the camera's image acquisition. This feature allows for flexibility in integrating the camera with various external devices or conditions.

When the trigger source is set to Software, the trigger software feature sends a software trigger command to the camera.

TriggerSource node

  • Access mode: Read/Write
  • Node type: Enumeration
  • Example values:
    • Software: Use TriggerSoftware command to trigger captures or when PTPMode is not “Off.”
    • Hardware: Use GPIO to trigger captures.

You can use the eSDK API functions to:

  • get and set the node’s current value, and
  • get the node’s value options.
