Binning

The binning feature combines adjacent pixels on the camera sensor into a single pixel at the image output, effectively reducing the image resolution but increasing sensitivity and processing speed. Binning is valuable for enhancing performance in low-light conditions or when high frame rates are more critical than high resolution.

Bin node

  • Access mode: Read/Write
  • Node type: Enumeration
  • Example values:
    • 0: 1x1
    • 1: 2x2
    • 2: 2x3

You can use the eSDK API functions to:

  • get and set the node’s current value, and
  • get the node’s value options.
