ADC

The analog-to-digital converter (ADC) feature sets the bit depth of images from the sensor. This setting impacts the camera's ability to differentiate between subtle changes in light intensity, directly affecting image detail and contrast. Decreasing the bit depth can increase the camera's frame rate. Increasing the bit depth can increase image quality.

Note: If you select a pixel format with a higher bit depth than the ADC setting, then the camera ignores the ADC setting .

ADC node

  • Access mode: Read/Write
  • Node type: Enumeration
  • Example values:
    • 0: Bit8
    • 1: Bit10

You can use the eSDK API functions to:

  • get and set the node’s current value, and
  • get the node’s value options.
