Acquisition Mode

The acquisition mode feature sets the camera's image acquisition behavior. It determines whether the camera captures images continuously, based on a trigger, or in a pre-defined series of frames. In multiframe mode, this feature is used with the acquisition frame count feature.

AcquisitionMode node

  • Access mode: Read/Write
  • Node type: Enumeration
  • Example values:
    • Continuous: For all use cases except multiframe use cases.
    • MultiFrame: Use for hardware or software trigger modes where multiple frames are to be triggered by a single hardware pulse or single software trigger.

You can use the eSDK API functions to:

  • get and set the node’s current value, and
  • get the node’s value options.
